There’s nothing like curling up on the couch and enjoying one of your favorite childhood movies. Sure, you already know the plot and can recite half of the film from memory, but that’s part of the charm. Most of all, it’s comforting.
If you’d like the opportunity to watch five of your most cherished childhood films and get paid for it, you may be interested in the latest dream job contest. Here’s what to know.
What the job entails
The position is with USDish. The successful applicant will pick the five films from their childhood to watch, fill out a worksheet for each to record their reactions and thoughts on the movie, and share those insights on their social media channels. They’ll have 15 days to complete the assignment, and will receive $50 to cover the cost of streaming the movies.
Once they’ve watched the films and submitted their work, the person chosen for the role will receive $1,234 in cash, as well as a kit including a blanket, popcorn, candy, and assorted items from their birth year (valued at approximately $300).
How to apply for the position
In order to apply for the job, you must be at least 18-years-old and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. You do not, however, need to be a USDish customer.

Just fill out this application, including naming the five movies you’d watch if you were selected, your favorite childhood movie genre, when you’re most likely to watch your childhood favorites, whether you tend to prefer the original versions of your favorite childhood movies or their recent remakes, and finally, why you’re a good fit for the job.
You also have the option of creating a video explaining why you should be chosen, and what childhood movies mean to you. It’s not possible to add attachments to the application, so be sure to upload your application video to a video-sharing website and then include the link on your application.
The deadline to submit your application is Friday, December 17, 2021 at 2 p.m. EST. Once you send it in, you should receive an email confirming your submission. (If you don’t see it, check your spam folder.) Applicants will receive an email by Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from the USDish.com team that will let them know whether or not they were selected.
