Wizards of the Coast today revealed the 22 October launch of its all brand-new My Little Pony crossover card set. Y’ all! Princess Golden Shimmer is concerning M: tG!

Ahem. The three-card, silver-bordered set will be included along side a My Little Pony-themed play mat and 4 unique card sleeves. It’s just readily available from 22 October through 5 November– while products last– on Hasbro’s Pulse site

The cards (certainly not competition legal) pay tribute to the My Little Pony: Relationship is Magic series, whose approaching ending will mark completion of an age in Pony canon. Seriously, do not sleep on My Little Pony, it’s the Robotech of relationship.

The 3 cards include the abovementioned Princess Golden Shimmer (how is this not a Planeswalker card?), a double-sided card including Problem Moon and her Princess Luna alter-ego, and Rarity.

If you take a look at Princess Golden Shimmer’s action text you’ll see reference of Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and perhaps Fluttershy. IGN attempted to determine Wizards to see if that indicated the business intended on launching a complete Pony set at some point … however the business remained mum on the topic. Here’s hoping a complete set work out.

I’m not exactly sure there’s anything cuter than “Ponies: the Galloping,” as Hasbro’s calling the crossover, however the very best part about the entire occasion is that all the earnings go to charity.

While $50 may appear like a bit much for a trio of M: tG cards, some sleeves, and a play mat, 100 percent of the net earnings go to Bonus Life, a charity that supports the Kid’s Wonder Network Healthcare facility.

If 3 ponies aren’t enough to sate your desire to ruin opponent Planeswalkers with the magic of relationship, take a look at this mind-blowing github repository including more than 11,000 fan-made My Little Pony cards for Magic: the Event. You’re welcome.
